亚洲事实查核实验室(Asia Fact Check Lab, AFCL)于2025年3月17日，以中、英文刊出查核报告：<事实查核｜台湾恢复军事审判后，开始“抓壮丁”准备打仗？>。3月30日，AFCL接到了芮成钢先生的来信，信中表示查核报告所引述的，发布错误信息的X平台帐号”Rui Chengang”并不是他拥有，而是不明人士冒他的名。引述他信中写道：
“This article referenced an X post about Taiwan claimed to be made by Rui Chenggang. It is absolutely NOT true. My official and only X account is @Rui_Chenggang, this is the only Verified X account under my name Rui Chenggang 芮成钢 with the blue checkmark. The X account mentioned in your article, with a different handle @Rui_Chengang, is an impersonator who has been posing as me publishing incendiary comments and false information.
“Any of my long-time viewers and readers would tell these comments were not made by me. Any sensible X users would know how to separate a verified account from a false one. Any educated Chinese speaker would tell the impersonator was intentionally using a mis-spelling of my name to fool other readers. I can share with your organization that I am taking legal actions against this impersonator with X’s assistance.”
综合来信原文，芮成钢表示AFCL原查核报告称错误贴文由他发表，这绝非事实。他个人在X平台上的唯一帐号是”@Rui_Chenggang”，这乃是唯一经过蓝勾验证，并以他的姓名「芮成钢」注册的 X 帐号。
芮成钢指出，发送错误信息的帐号是”@Rui_Chengang”，字母拼写与真实帐号不同。芮成钢表示这是一个冒充者，「他一直假冒我的身份，发布煽动性言论和虚假资讯。」他批评这名冒充者故意在我的姓名拼写上做手脚，试图欺骗其他读者，”我已在 X 平台的协助下，对这名冒充者采取法律行动。”
对于芮先生来函指正，AFCL已经对原文做出四点修订，并且发布更新信息说明修订内容。也为撰写报告查证不足的疏失向芮成钢先生诚挚致歉。
